Jurerê internacional has as its biggest vallue the nature around – beautiful beach, mangrove, islands, hills and flora/fauna. The concept of the residential searched for the balance with nature and the best way to guarantee the conservation, is the organized occupation.

The Water and Sewer system – WSS (Sistema de Água e Esgotos – SAE), since its beggining in 1981 has as its goals the environment preservation and public health. Through the years, it has served as a model to other locations and professionals in the public and private sections. Today it has the qualifications brands  ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

The WSS is made by the Water Treatment Station And the Swere treatment station, pioneering the vacuum sewer collection system in Brazil.

Quality and Environment policy

The WSS (Sistema de Água e Esgotos – SAE) assures the quality on its products and services looking for a high satisfaction standard with its clients.

It meets the legal laws addopting technical and environmental solutions and foccussing on the operational control with quality and regarding the polution.

Water Treatment

The system is authomatic, with capacity to 70 liters per second, generating water for all open resort. The quality of the water is checked by a laboratory capable of evaluating the most important water parameters of drinkability. Certified external lab.

Sewer Treatment

The sewer treatment station is completely authomatic and monitorized 24hday. The proccess of treatment is SBR (Sequencing Batch Reactors) that liberates high quality water back to nature.

Water Distribution

With authomatic control, the net has constant pressure, allowing the distribution pattern even when there’s high level of usage. The system has diesel generators that assure the continuity of the distribution when energy is down.

Vaccum sewer collection

WSS in Jurerê Internacional was the first brazilian company to use Vaccum Sewer Collectors. This process shortens the contamination of the ground and the water reserves at the same time it enhances the system.

Water Bills Calculations

The taxes will be readjusted in 10.81% in 08/15/16, under the 063 Resolution from July 6th, 2016 ARESC.

Our fees will have a readjustment of 2,61 %, aiming the monetary adjustment of the period.

New fees will be valid from the usage period of November 15th to December 15th of 2019 with the first due date on January 10th, 2020.

In Jurerê Internacional we practice two categories of fees: Residential and Commercial.

A building, can have both types of fees in one single bill, for exemple: a building that is both residential and comercial, the water bill is calculated according to the economy category and consumption ranges.

Now let’s see three practical examples of how calculate your water and sewage bill using the above table:

Ex. 1. A home where the monthly consumption of water is = 3 m³
Calculation: 01 Economy – minimum monthly consumption = 10 m³
Range 1 – Up tp 10 m³ = R$ 45,19 (water billing value)
Total: R$45,19 (water) + R$45,19 (sewage) = R$ 90,38

Water and sewage total bill = R$90,38
OBS: Remember that your sewage fee is equivalent to 100% of the water consumption.

Ex. 2. A home where the monthly consumption of water is = 32 m³
Calculation: In this case we have 01 Economy in 3 consumption ranges.
Range 1 – Up to 10 m³ = R$ 45,19 (water billing value) = R$ 45,19 x 2 (sewage) = R$ 90,38
Range 2 – 15 m³ x R$ 8,2814 = R$ 124,221 x 2 (sewage) = R$ 248,44
Range 3 – 7 m³ x R$ 11,6187 = R$ 81,3309 x 2 (sewage) = R$ 162,66

Water and sewage total bill = R$ 501,48

Ex. 3. A building with 12 apartments and 4 stores with total consumption of = 432 m³ (mixed economy)
Calculation: In this case we have 12 residential economies and 4 commercial economies.
432 m³ ¸ 16 economies = 27 m³ – This is the consumption of each one of the economies: Range 1 Resid:
– 12 Resid. Econ. x R$ 45,19 (up tp 10 m³) = R$ 542,28 x 2 (sewage) = R$ 1.084,56
Range 2 Resid:
– 12 Resid. Econ. x 15 m³ x R$ 8,2814 = R$ 1.490,652 x 2 (sewage) = R$ 2.981,30
Range 3 Resid:
– 12 Resid. Econ. x 2 m³ x R$ 11,6187 = R$ 278,8488 x 2 (sewage) = R$ 557,69
Range 1 Commercial:
– 04 Comercial Econ. x R$ 66,70 (up tp 10 m³) = R$ 266,80 x 2 (sewage) = R$ 533,60
Range 2 Commercial:

Using the water meter as an ally

The unit of mesurement used by the water meters to register the water consumption is the cubic meter (m³). The totalizer mechanism is composed by cyclometer cylinders (idlers) combined with pointers. The number of the smallest division of the totalizer, which is the smallest quantity of water it registers, is 0,0001 m³ (or 0,1 litre). The water volume consumed in a given period is calculated simply by the difference between the initial and final reading of the monitoring. To calculate the flow, just clock the time between the two readings, and divide the difference between the readings by the time obtained.

How to do the reading

It’s easy to do the reading of a water meter; you should read the numbers in black and discard the rest. That way, in the water meter below, the reading is 9999.



It’s recommended that the owner does the periodic readings of the water meter, so in that way it is possible to obtain the average daily consumption. In case of a significant consumption increase, with no apparent reason like visits, swimming pool water Exchange, etc., immediately check the hydraulic installation, because there may be happening some leakage. In case of any leakage detected, register it with pictures and communicate it to SAE immediately, through the number (48) 3261-5587.

How to find leaks

On building instalations, leaks must be followed from the water entrance to the installed products.

Detecting Leaks

In building installations the detection of leaks must be analysed since the entrance of the water through the pipes to the installed products. There are some products available in the market to help detect leaks, like acoustic sensors, among others.

Check some tips to detect leaks and its expenses. Leaks can be visible or not. The visible ones happen in faucets (garden, tank, kitchen sink), in the float of the water tank or in the built-in pipeline. In the last case, the humidity will appear on the walls.

See on the table below some types of leaks, their flow and how much water you lose in sanitary vases. We should analyse by how many washing holes is the water leaking, to check how much water was lost in a month.

Extension that supplies water from the pipes to the float of the water tank. Follow the steps to check possible water leaks:

1. Keep the pipe register open.
2. Turn off every faucet in the house and do not use the bathrooms.
3. Turn off the faucet of the float of the water tank completely, not allowing the entrance of water.

4. Mark the position of the biggest pointer of your water meter, after one hour check to see if it has moved. 5. In case it has moved, it’s a sign that there is a leak in the extension supplied directely by the water supplier net.

Follow the steps to check possible water leaks:

  1. Turn off every faucet in the house and do not use the bathrooms.
    2. Turn off the faucet of the float of the water tank completely, tying it inside the water tank, not allowing the entrance of water.
  2. Mark the level of water in the tank and after one hour, at least, check to see if it has lowered. 4. If it has, there are leaks in the pipeline or in the bathrooms supplied by the water tank.

If it is a building with underground water tank, you should turn off the booster pumps, doing the same procedure, adding the marking of the level of water inside the underground tank, watching the level of water to detect any possible leaks.



Sanitary ware.
Throw in some cigarette ashes or pigment in the sanitary vase and watch. The ash or the pigment must stay in the bottom of the vase; if that doesn’t happen, there must be some leak in the flush valve. In the sanitary vase with the water container attached: put on some strong pigment in the water container. Wait 15 to 20 minutes; if the water in the sanitary vasi is colored, then there might be a problem with the water container mechanism.
