JURERÊ INTERNACIONAL

UNDERSTANDING
JURERÊ INTERNACIONAL

"We have been trying to be the guardians, at our own costs, of privileged and sensitive ecosystems so that man, the main and most legitimate receiver of preservation efforts, cab enjoy them. We always make our efforts searching for the self-sustainability of processes, the only effective way to guarantee the balance, the perpetuity of our programs, the actions and the desirable and necessary investments.”

Péricles de Freitas Druck
President of the Habitasul Group

Located in the north of the Isle of Santa Catarina, in Florianópolis, in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil, Jurerê Internacional is a real estate, a property developed by the Habitasul Group. Open and wide, differently from other closed residential condominiums, Jurerê Internacional is considered a neighborhood, a beach in Florianópolis, located next to the traditional Jurerê beach.

Jurerê Internacional is nowadays a landmark in organic urbanization and sustainability all over the country. Underlying this success are the principles and guidelines established by Habitasul 30 years ago when the residential condominium was created.

Jurerê Internacional was carefully planned from its very beginning, from the streets and constructions to security, commerce and services. It started having its own master plan, guaranteeing the preservation of the environment. For example, demographic density is 50 to 70% lower than what is authorized by the master plan of the city of Florianópolis.

Habitasul’s differentiated quality has a commitment to Jurerê Internacional, in its four dimensions:

Another important aspect for the success of Jurerê Internacional is that it shares with the community its continuous search for quality of life, by means of neighborhood associations and commercial partners.

The twelve sustainability points of Jurerê Internacional

Habitasul has mapped all the actions at Jurerê Internacional, resulting in 12 items that characterize the sustainability of the property, which are summarized here. Check them out.

  1. 1 DIFFERENTIATED QUALITY OF LIFE

Jurerê Internacional: demographic density 50% lower, which grants a higher quality of life to the city’s inhabitants Jurerê Internacional: demographic density 50% lower, which grants a higher quality of life to the city’s inhabitants Jurerê Internacional: demographic density 50% lower, which grants a higher quality of life to the city’s inhabitants Jurerê Internacional: demographic density 50% lower, which grants a higher quality of life to the city’s inhabitants Jurerê Internacional: demographic density 50% lower, which grants a higher quality of life to the city’s inhabitants clique nas imagens para ampliar

Jurerê Internacional contemplates, in its master plan, specific rules for soil occupation, resulting in a demographic density 50% lower than what is permitted by the current Master Plan of Florianópolis, which grants a higher quality of life to the city’s inhabitants.

This voluntary renunciation, which is guaranteed by contract by the buyers, is an important strategic differential, in face of the high commercial value of the occupation rates that are not used.

  2. 2 WATER AND SEWER SYSTEM

Being private and managed by Habitasul, the Water and Sewer System (Sistema de Água e Esgotos - SAE) was created in order to protect the main patrimony of the region: its privileged nature. The company’s investments have guaranteed that there is no shortage of water and no pollution in the soil or sea.

In Brazil, Jurerê Internacional is the pioneer in using a vacuum sewage collection system and this system receives visitors such as all-level students, from elementary school to graduate students, as well as representatives of public and private entities, who want to know the model and procedures adopted.

The system has the ISO 14000 and ISO 9000 certifications.

Jurerê Internacional has its own natural reserve: the Natural Reserve Olandi-Jurerê, in an area destined to preservation, scientific research, and environmental education. The transformation of the reserve into a “park” is the next step in order to extend even more the actions to protect the wildlife in the region.

Also, Habitasul is proud of being always ahead. In 1980, when no one talked about ecological reserves in the region, the master plan of Jurerê Internacional predicted an area of 190 hectares as a permanent preservation area, which was donated, seven years later, to the publicly held Carijós Ecological Station.
